MicroLabAptaSens project presents a core of the research contribution of both experienced and young scientists in fields of sensor technologies, material science, biology and microbiology, food safety, and electronics with the purpose of the development of simple and low-cost technology for the farmers, meat and dairy industry, fruit and vegetable processing facilities, food safety control sectors, ecologists, and finally for an everyman.
The idea of the MicroLabAptaSens group is to develop throughout the Project a new and state-of-art biosensor for the detection of bacterial species that can be found in food and drink, but also for biomedical purposes as a fast personal screening and health monitoring of animals and humans. The final goal of the Project is the development of a reliable and low-cost portable device for numerous applications, which would have the possibility of wireless connection to cell phones enabling relatively fast, easy, yet reliable detection!
