The Know4Nano Five-Day Workshop, held November 25–29, 2024, at the BioSense Institute in Novi Sad, brought together over 100 participants and 40 world-class speakers to explore innovations in nanotechnology and biosensors for food safety.
As part of the workshop, the Microlabaptasens School offered lectures and hands-on sessions covering:
Day 1: Biosensor fundamentals, biomechanics, DNA nanotechnology, microfluidics, imaging, and chemical sensing.
Day 2: Real-world applications in food safety, bacteria detection, QMS implementation, patents, and startup support.
Day 3: 3D-printed sensors, 2D materials, and biosensor validation best practices.
Day 4: Biosensors in meat safety, food processing, molecular detection methods, and point-of-care pathogen detection.
Day 5: Actionable insights, science communication tips, project management, soft skills, and living lab fundamentals.
The event was a vibrant hub of innovation, collaboration, and transformative ideas.
