PI Vasa Radonic visited Eden Microfluidics, a French SME that focuses on the design and development of novel materials for application in microfluidic chip fabrication. Vasa received training in microfluidic chip fabrication using the hot embossing Sublym system, the equipment that BioSens Institute bought through the MicroLabAptaSens project. He has the opportunity to learn how to create the molds for hot embossing, how to prepare the Flexdym materials for the creation of the microfluidic pattern and how to bound the Flexdym layers and Flexdym and glass substrate. With the researchers from Eden Microfluidics, Vasa discusses the potential applications and integration of the recently developed sensors inside the Eden chips, joint research directions, and the possibilities for preparing joint project proposals from the Horizon Europe calls.
