Researcher Management and Leadership Training

During October to November 2023, MLAS researcher Dr. Slavica Savić Ružić successfully completed the Researcher Management and Leadership Training course offered by the University of Colorado, accessible on the global online learning platform, Coursera.

The course provides insights into the importance of management and leadership skills for building a successful research career, with a focus on resource optimization. It covers effective management of research groups, including aspects such as hiring, team engagement, and fostering a positive culture. Participants gain an understanding of financial and administrative responsibilities critical for researchers, including regulatory compliance, financial reporting, and budgeting.

Additionally, the course explores the roles of mentors and mentees, guiding participants in strategically building mentorship teams and enhancing mentorship through coaching and sponsorship.
